Earn Your Class A CDL License
Prepare for a career operating tractor-trailers and other combination vehicles with HCC's Class A CDL training program. Designed for individuals with no prior commercial driving experience, the program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training to help you develop the knowledge and skills needed to earn your Class A Commercial Driver's License.
A Class A CDL can qualify you for a variety of entry-level driving careers, including long-haul, regional, and local trucking positions.

Ready to Get Started?
Before enrolling in the CDL program, schedule an appointment with the Rider School by calling 443-518-4808 or emailing Ride@HowardCC.edu. During your appointment, you'll review the program's mandatory licensure requirements, learn what to expect, and determine whether the program is the right fit for you. Financial aid and payment plan options are available.
Once you enroll in the CDL Readiness class, you'll need to provide a copy of your valid driver's license and complete a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening (at your expense) performed by a licensed medical examiner. All enrollment requirements must be completed at least five business days before the start of your CDL program.
