As an integral part of a vibrant Howard County, our flagship Columbia campus reflects a community with very high standards. From the stunning Horowitz Center for the Visual and Performing Arts to our well-appointed classrooms, athletic facilities and wellness center, beautiful quad, library and more, it’s no wonder why first-time visitors can’t believe this is a two-year college.

  • Howard Community College's Quad
    The Quad is the center of campus, where students meet to catch up with friends, enjoy lunch, play a pickup football game, or listen to an impromptu jam session.
  • Howard County Community College Rouse Building
    The Rouse Company Foundation Student Services Hall is our one-stop-shop for students, housing the Cafe on the Quad, Bookstore, Test Center, Cashiers Office, and offices of Admissions & Advising; Financial Aid Services; Records, Registration & Veterans Affairs; and much more.
  • Starbucks at Cafe on the Quad
    The Cafe on the Quad is the main food service on campus, offering great food, with lots of selection and healthy choices. It's also home to everyone's favorite spot for coffee, Starbucks.
  • Health Sciences Building
    The Health Sciences building features state-of-the-art simulation laboratories and instructional spaces to support advanced, hands-on learning for programs in our Health Sciences division.
  • Exterior of the SET building
    The Science, Engineering, and Technology building features flexible classroom spaces, research laboratories, group study areas, a rooftop observation area, learning commons, greenhouse, and much more!
  • Howard Community College Horowitz Center
    In itself a work of art, the beautiful Horowitz Center is home to our music, dance, theatre and visual arts programs, as well as Smith Theatre, Studio Theatre, Monteabaro Recital Hall and two art galleries.
  • Duncan Hall
    Duncan Hall contains our English, language and business programs, as well as our Center for Entrepreneurial Business Excellence, computer labs, and ample study space for individuals and groups.
  • Howard Community College's Library
    The Clark Library is outfitted with group study room, viewing rooms, computer labs, quiet zones, and seating areas for comfortable reading.
  • The Dell is a great place to relax during class breaks, enjoy an outdoor production on Dreier Stage, or observe campus wildlife.
