Showcasing Student Research
The Journal for Research in Progress is a campus publication dedicated to showcasing original, peer-reviewed student research conducted by HCC students. It highlights the academic and creative achievements of the college community and provides students with an opportunity to share their work in a professional, scholarly setting. This interdisciplinary journal welcomes work from every area of study, bringing together a wide range of disciplines, from the arts to STEM and everything in between.
The journal is available in print and online. Copies are shared with the HCC community and partners beyond campus, giving students a platform to reach a wider audience.
Who can submit
Current HCC students from any discipline are welcome to submit their work. Recent HCC graduates and students who transferred within one year of the volume’s publication are also eligible. Submissions from any field of study are encouraged, and every project is developed with the support of an HCC faculty or staff mentor.
To get started, all you need is a topic and a short summary of your idea. Your mentor will guide you as you develop your research throughout the process. If you're interested in publishing research, submit your idea using the form below.
Collaborative art
A unique feature of the journal is the opportunity for artists to collaborate with researchers on creative interpretations of work submitted for publication. These collaborations can take the form of visual or performing art.
