Student Clubs and Organizations
Student clubs are a big part of campus life. Students may join or start clubs, which keeps student life current and vibrant. Here is a sampling of the student clubs at HCC. Don't see a club that you're interested in? Start your own! Engineering Club- It is a moral/ethical hub for engineering. Teaching how to ethically share, criticize, and assist each other when able to.
Pre-Med Club- To act as a forum for members of the college who are interested medicine to meet and interact. To know more about the profession of their choice through quest speakers, volunteer activities, field trips and seminars on various topics.
Students of American Dental Hygienists Association- To create a community for all hygienist and investing in their future.
Cyber Defense- Provide students and club members with supplemental opportunities to experience and develop expertise in computer networks, fix computers, and mobile devices. They will also, work with fellow students and attend local technical meetup events
Political and Cultural Clubs
Hispanic Student Union- To share Hispanic culture with HCC and its surrounding community.
Jewish Student Club- To hold social and educational events associated with Judaism and Jewish culture both in fellowship and diversity here on the HCC campus.
Young Politicians of Tomorrow- The purpose of the organization is to help the community be more politically active and involved. We also, have a goal to open the members up to being more politically tolerant .
Iranian Culture Club- To invite all students, faculty, and staff to various Iranian cultural events to introduce culture of Iran.
South Asian Club- To expose students to the cultures of Southeast Asia and create interactive, cultural events.
Agape Campus Christian Fellowship Club- To share God’s love with students and offer opportunity to learn and grow in Christian faith and service.
Baha'I Peace- To further the tenets of the Baha’I Faith, to invite those interested to investigate the faith for themselves; to promote the unity of mankind, and foster understanding, love and fellowship at HCC by sponsoring such things as lectures, information tables, service projects, discussions, informal gatherings, social activities and public meetings. This association shall not endorse any partisan or political group on a campus level or otherwise.
Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU)- Cru is a community where the Gospel captures hearts, transforms lives and launches men and women into a life-long adventure with Jesus.
First Love Christian Fellowship- To talk to people about God and His love for mankind. Give moral support through the word of God.
Campus Disciples- To spread the Gospel.
Special Interest Clubs
From Scratch Club- To help students experience cooking, baking and hospitality as well as helping with charity events.
Karaoke Club- To bring together student who have a passion for karaoke and getting together like-minded individuals.
Martial Arts Club- To provide a sense of unity through setting and achieving personal, fitness, and martial arts goals for all of our members and participants. We want to be able to help our participants and members through this journey of self-discovery while instilling a sense of discipline and respect.
Anime and Manga Club- We strive to introduce and elaborate various elements of story and entertainment about anime and manga, popular media from Japan brought to American audiences.
Soccer Club- To mix international students with the American and other students in the college by having fun and playing soccer.
Service and Social Action
Active Minds- To increase awareness about mental health issues, to decrease the stigma surrounding mental illness, and to promote positive mental health and wellness among HCC students, staff, and faculty.
The Environmental Club- We are a group of individuals who came together with one purpose: To respond to the needs of our hurting environment. We have decided that it is our moral responsibility as humans to create a better tomorrow. Knowing that no art of service is small, we seek to respond to current issues with unity, knowledge and determination.
Sexuality and Gender Alliance - To provide a safe ad supportive place for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and allies to gather, learn and grow.
Gender Equality Club- To educate the students of HCC about issues around gender.
Amnesty International Chapter- To spread awareness of global events, debate topics, and participate in goodwill activities.
