Student Government Association
SGA: Your voice at HCC
The Student Government Association (SGA) was created to involve students in the administrative, legislative and judicial governance of the college. The SGA is a democratic, student-run unit, representing the views of and acting as a proponent for the needs of HCC students. Led by a president elected by the student body, SGA members sit on HCC administrative committees, oversee all student club organizations and are involved in the community.
How Can You Get Involved in the SGA?
Opportunities in SGA include officers, representatives and student senators. Student senators serve with members of the college faculty, staff and administration on the Curriculum and Instruction Committee, College Council, Commencement, Diversity, Enrollment Management, Facilities Planning, Food Service, Organizational Development, Planning Council, Renovations, Safety and Technology committees.
