College Governance
Howard Community College's (HCC) strength comes from the collective talents and knowledge of the entire college community. Whenever possible, the college strives to pool these resources from across the college - faculty, students, staff, and sometimes community members - by convening college teams, councils, and committees to help further HCC's mission.
These groups advise and oversee matters of the areas they represent. They recommend collegewide policies, procedures and standards; review and recommend priorities and capital requests; and serve as a critical information-sharing forum. The work of these groups enables the college to offer innovative programs, responsive services, and instructional excellence to our students and community.
Additional information on the college's governance system is detailed in college policy 61.02, Internal Governance and procedure 61.02.01, Internal Governance.
