College Event Interpreting Services

Ensuring Accessible Events and Activities

This process is for HCC staff members organizing an HCC sponsored event for students which requires American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting Services. This request is for events such as New Student Orientation, student activities, and student fairs on campus.   

Complete the Communication Access Form using your HCC email and password. 

Information to include for each event: 

• Date  
• Time Frame 
• Location 
• Point of contact for the Event 
• Title of the Event 
• Summary of the Event 

Requests should be made as early as possible, but at least three weeks in advance. A specific interpreter may be requested but not guaranteed due to the interpreter’s availability. Every effort will be made to accommodate late requests; however, please be advised that interpretation services cannot be guaranteed.
