Earning Credit for College Content Courses
How to Receive HCC Credit for CC Courses
Students enrolled in College Content (CC) courses at their high school may be eligible to earn Howard Community College (HCC) credit.
To receive HCC credit, students enrolled in a CC course must complete the following steps by the deadline:
- Complete the Statement of Understanding in Synergy (student only; not a parent or guardian).
- Apply to HCC.
- Complete the CC Registration Form*.
Students who do not complete these required steps are not eligible to receive HCC credit. Please note that the HCC grade may differ from the HCPSS grade for some courses. HCC enrollment for CC courses appears on the spring semester transcript for that academic year. Students taking courses which require HCC Pre-requisites must meet those eligibility standards in order to receive college credit.
