This course helps you develop an entrepreneurial mindset and creative problem-solving skills applicable in both community and organizational settings. You will design and deliver a business pitch presentation that can support funding efforts, pitch competitions, and business planning. Students are co-enrolled with the credit course HUMN-115. Topics include the roles of entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs in today’s global economy, identifying viable opportunities, and evaluating business concepts through feasibility studies. The course also explores the ethical, social, and moral dimensions of entrepreneurship. Learners are encouraged to register at least seven days prior to the start date. In this course, you will develop your business idea and analyze its feasibility through hands-on research and strategic planning. You'll conduct primary research-such as customer interviews, observations, and surveys-and secondary research on market trends and industry data to validate key elements like market size, pricing, and growth potential. You will design market entry strategies, build a financial plan, and write a comprehensive business plan. The course concludes with you delivering a polished business plan pitch that showcases your idea and the evidence behind it. Students are co-enrolled with the credit course ENTR-210.
