Effective September 1, 2026, the Test Center will no longer offer remote placement testing. Appointments are required for all tests and should be made on RegisterBlast (www.registerblast.com/howardcc) prior to arrival.
HCC offers the choice of two testing formats to fulfill the English placement requirement:
Guided Student Placement: a written response assessed by the English faculty
ACCUPLACER: a multiple-choice exam consisting of Reading and Writing sections
You are allotted two placement attempts and do not have to take both options unless required.
