Physical Therapist Assistant Admissions
Physical Therapist Clinical Admissions Requirements
Physical therapist assistants (PTAs) work under the direction and supervision of licensed physical therapists to help people of all ages improve movement, manage pain, and regain function after illness or injury. PTAs work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, private practices, rehabilitation centers, home health agencies, nursing homes, schools, and sports medicine facilities.
Howard Community College's Physical Therapist Assistant program is a full-time, fall-entry Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree that prepares you for a career as a licensed PTA. The program consists of 68 credits and includes classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning experiences.
