
Indoor Temperature Control Procedure - 70.03.04
College Policy Number/Title:
Office or department temperatures below 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter and above 78 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer should be reported to the facilities office during normal Howard Community College business hours. After hours, on-call engineers should be contacted at extension 5500.
Exceptions for individual health considerations may be considered. Employees must submit a specific request for systems to be adjusted. Propping open doors and opening windows can interfere with building HVAC systems and should be avoided. Personal supplemental heating and cooling devices, other than fans, must be approved by the facilities department prior to ordering. Typical space heaters are not permitted.
