Physics: Electricity and Magnetism

Ages 11–14. Looking for a great enrichment program in science? This class offers exciting, challenging, and creative hands-on learning focusing on electric and magnetic phenomena. Students will observe cool electrostatics demonstrations, such as the Van de Graaff generator and Wimhurst machine. They will also get to measure electrical quantities, perform basic calculations, and build elementary DC circuits, electromagnets, and a simple DC electrical motor. A great way to engage young minds in the wonders of electricity and magnetism. 1 week.
