Ages 11–14. Quilting isn't just for grown-ups, kids can quilt, too! In this hands-on course, students will learn how to operate a sewing machine, sew straight and curved lines, and use a rotary cutter safely. They'll cut fabric, piece it together, and create a simple lap quilt featuring novelty fabrics and using upcycled denim from old blue jeans. Students will use novelty fabric to create their own unique iron-on stickers to use with the denim and create a lap-size quilt backed with fleece. This class is perfect for budding crafters ready to stitch up something amazing! 1 week.
