Junior Medic
Ages 12–14. Examine the basics of biology and health issues with an emphasis on anatomy and physiology in a college lab setting. In this course, students will get a glimpse into the world of doctors and nurses by investigating organic specimens such as the heart, brain, eyes, and kidneys. The marvels of the human body and the power of medical knowledge are the right “prescription” for summer learning. Students will also receive CPR training as a part of this course. This is a hands-on anatomy and physiology lab class meant to be an enrichment opportunity for the inquisitive and focused learner. Due to many dissection activities, participants must have a good attitude and strictly observe instructor’s guidelines. Students must wear closed-toe shoes to class. 2 weeks.
