Introduction to Debate

Ages 13+. Debate provides an exciting opportunity to explore controversial issues while developing critical thinking and public speaking skills. In this course, students will tackle important societal topics, learning how to present and defend their viewpoints with confidence and logic. Through structured debates and interactive activities, they will gain experience in crafting well-supported arguments and responding thoughtfully to opposing perspectives. By the end of the week, participants will have refined their ability to engage in civil discourse and express their ideas effectively. Students should have completed sixth grade before taking this class. 1 week.
