Hand Embroidery for Beginners
Ages 11–14. Get ready to stitch your heart out! Hand embroidery is sew-much-fun! It’s such a creative, inexpensive, portable, relaxing, and totally addictive activity (in the best way). It doesn’t take up much space, make a mess, or need any fancy tools, so you can embroider just about anywhere. In this course, students will learn five of the most in-stitch-ual hand embroidery techniques: stem, chain, blanket, French knot, and feather. With these simple stitches, you’ll transform plain fabric into one-of-a-kind art that shows off your creativity and personality. Once you’ve mastered your stitches, you’ll be ready to embellish just about anything, from clothes and tote bags to notebook covers and pillows.
