Basics of Baking
Ages 8–10. Step into the world of baking and discover the magic of creating delicious treats! Under the expert guidance of HCC’s culinary chefs, students will learn the essential techniques needed to bake cakes, cookies, muffins, and pastries. From reading recipes and measuring ingredients to mastering skills like creaming, whisking, and kneading, students will explore the foundation of great baking. The course will highlight safe cooking practices, ensuring students can confidently measure, mix, and judge the readiness of their treats. This hands-on course is taught in HCC’s professional culinary kitchen. Closed-toe, non-slip shoes are required. 1 week.
