Event Details | HCC Faculty Concert - On Wings of Song
The clarinet’s smooth tone and wide dynamic range give it a unique ability to shape phrases with the flexibility and warmth of the human voice. Kyle Coughlin, Kuei-I Wu, and Katy Chiang will perform a program of lyrical works by Telemann, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Bruch, and others, including music originally written for voice, flute, and violin. Inspired by Mendelssohn’s On Wings of Song, this program invites listeners to be carried to distant places, imagined landscapes, and other points in time.
