Event Details | HCC Faculty Concert - Four on Six: A Jazz Guitar Tribute
This program highlights the evolution of jazz guitar during the hard-bop era, focusing on four of its most influential voices: Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, George Benson, and Pat Martino. Emerging in the late 1950s and 1960s, these artists helped shape the role of the guitar in jazz, bringing a new level of technique, melodic sophistication, and groove to the instrument. Through selections drawn from their recordings, this program celebrates the lasting influence of these pioneers and explores the musical language that continues to inspire jazz guitarists today.
