HCC proudly announces that Yang Yu, Ph.D. was appointed chair of the Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission by Governor Wes Moore. Dr. Yu is the Associate Dean of Liberal Studies at HCC. “I am deeply grateful to the Governor for the opportunity and to Dr. Willis for paving the way by appointing me to represent Howard County’s AAPI Commission for HCC,” said Dr. Yu. Enrollment at HCC has grown by more than 4.6% over the last year. The increase is two percent higher than the full-time equivalent (FTE) statewide average and establishes the college’s final headcount numbers as the school’s highest figure since 2020.
