HCC proudly announces that Yang Yu, Ph.D. was appointed chair of the Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission by Governor Wes Moore. Dr. Yu is the Associate Dean of Liberal Studies at HCC. “I am deeply grateful to the Governor for the opportunity and to Dr. Willis for paving the way by appointing me to represent Howard County’s AAPI Commission for HCC,” said Dr. Yu. Howard Community College Board of Trustees announces changes to the upcoming December 13, 2023 and January 24, 2024 meetings.

The Howard Community College (HCC) board of trustees has rescheduled their Audit and Finance committee meeting to Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

Howard Community College (HCC) President Daria J. Willis today announced a $1 million grant awarded to the institution by the U.S. Department of Education to support the re-opening of its campus childcare center.

The Howard Community College (HCC) board of trustees will be conducting a certain portion of its meeting on September 27, 2023, in closed session under the Maryland Open Meetings Act, Title 3 of the General Provisions Article 3-303 (b).

Enrollment at HCC has grown by more than 4.6% over the last year. The increase is two percent higher than the full-time equivalent (FTE) statewide average and establishes the college’s final headcount numbers as the school’s highest figure since 2020.
