HCC President Daria J. Willis has announced the launch of a women’s flag football program for the college. The program will begin with support from the National Junior College Athletic Association Foundation awarding a $10,000 grant to start the team. “Our intramural flag football league has been a big hit this past year and we are happy to offer the chance for current students to play competitively against other institutions," says HCC athletic director Mike Smelkinson. Willis has announced two major gifts to support construction and programming of the college's Workforce Development and Skilled Trades Center (WDTC), set to break ground this fall. A Columbia-based family and Apple Ford Lincoln of Columbia have committed a combined $1.2 million to the WDTC. Chip Doetsch, president of Apple Ford says, "The trajectory of this college and this community are limitless, and we are proud to be a part of its exceptional future." Read More!

Music offerings include the HCC Concert series, April 13, 27, and 28, and the HCC student concert, May 5-10.
