The Howard County Economic Development Authority (HCEDA) has generously awarded a $60K grant that will cover full instructional costs for 17 registered apprentices studying in HCC’s cybersecurity certification program. At a January 27 press conference, HCC announced a collaboration with MakingChange, Inc. to offer free income tax preparation assistance to low-to-moderate income HCC students and Howard County residents. The initiative, set to kick off on designated days in February 2024, provides valuable support during tax season. Willis today announced a new partnership with the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services (DJS) and the Howard County Public School System to reduce youth entry into the criminal justice system while promoting high school completion and providing pathways to post-secondary education through dual enrollment.
