HCC is honored to receive a generous grant from the PepsiCo Foundation for the second consecutive year. PepsiCo Foundation’s Uplift Scholarship program supports students through financial, mentoring, and academic assistance. “This grant will help provide critical resources and remove financial barriers for many of our low-income students who might not otherwise have an opportunity to attend college, paving the way to academic and career success," states HCC President, Dr. Daria J. Willis.

The Howard Community College Board of Trustees has elected its officers and scheduled its meetings for fiscal year (FY) 2025.
The board elected Sean Keller as chair and Vivian Moore Lawyer as vice chair for FY 2025.

HCC announced that New York Times-bestselling author of “Clap When You Land,” Elizabeth Acevedo, will deliver the free keynote at the fourth annual Bauder Lecture on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024. The 12:30 p.m. lecture will be in a hybrid format, both in-person at the Monteabaro Recital Hall of the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center and live-streamed on Vimeo. The 6 p.m. lecture will be held in person only at the Monteabaro Recital Hall. Learn More!

Howard Community College President Daria J. Willis unveiled new institutional and athletic branding for the college. The HCC Office of Public Relations and Marketing and its creative services team members designed the updated branding, maintaining the college's traditional colors while modernizing typography and imagery.

HCC President Daria J. Willis has announced Jane-Ellen Miller as the college's interim Chief Information Officer. Miller, an expert in strategic planning, needs analysis, and system implementation and integration, brings more than 30 years of experience to HCC.
"I am grateful for Jane-Ellen coming to serve in this critical role as the college embarks on an ambitious effort to strengthen its technology infrastructure," said Dr. Willis. Miller began her tenure at the college on July 1. Read More!
