HCC President Daria J. Willis announced a five-year partnership between NIKE and BSN Sports to serve as the exclusive apparel and equipment supplier for Dragon Athletics. The Howard Community College Board of Trustees announces a change of date and format and closed session for their October 2024 meeting. The work session and regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. and will be virtual in format.

Howard Community College has received a grant from the Maryland Department of Labor’s Employment Advancement Right Now (EARN) Maryland program. The grant will fund the Central Maryland Logistics Workforce Pipeline Partnership project to transition students with disabilities into careers in the logistics industry while helping employers adopt and create more inclusive work environments.

Accelerated (7-week) courses provide a condensed alternative to traditional semester-long classes, enabling faster degree completion. With many courses available online or scheduled remote, students can balance studies with work, family, and personal commitments. “They [students] can complete their degree program by taking at least two classes every 7 weeks, which means students earn 12 or more credits each term,” says Dr. Toni Sims Muhammad, Associate VP for Teaching and Learning.
