Serves as a central office to provide support and coordination of the review process for concerns involving student sexual misconduct. Staff are available to provide HCC policy information, offer support and guidance to both complainants and respondents seeking campus or community support resources and facilitates the review process for potential college policy violations involving students.

Available to take reports involving issues of safety that occur on campus, help connect community members with Howard County Law enforcement as needed, and can provide campus escort services to and from campus locations.

Provides free and confidential mental health support to HCC students. Counselors are considered confidential employees. Information shared with a counselor regarding a situation involving sexual misconduct will not be shared without the reporting individual’s permission, unless there is an imminent safety risk.

HCC partners with Uwill to give students free, 24/7 access to mental health and wellness services. Via Uwill, students can register using their HCC email and choose a therapist who matches their preferences (issue, gender, language, availability). Services include tele therapy (video, phone, messaging), wellness programming like mindfulness and a direct crisis connection any time of day
