
Voter Registration

Howard Community College encourages each and every student to become active members of society by registering to vote and turning out on election day.
You can make a difference in the future of our country, state, and federal governments by registering to vote and being an educated voter. Are you concerned about the environment? Free speech? Loan debt? The war or the draft? Unemployment? Health care? Voting is one way to get your voice heard and get politicians to respond to your concerns. Voting can make a difference!
Who May Apply to Vote?
To register to vote in Maryland you must be:
- a U.S. citizen
- a Maryland resident
- At least 16 years old (18 years old by the next general election)
- not disqualified by a criminal record
- not under guardianship for mental disability
Where Can I Register to Vote?
You can register to vote elctronically! Physical voter registration forms are available in the Office of Student Life (Student Activities Building Room 200) and the Welcome and Information Center (RCF Hall Room 114). You can also download a registration form from the Maryland State Board of Elections and mail it to your local board of elections.
