Campus Groups Help Request

Unable to log into Campus Groups?

Campus Groups is a platform for credit students to connect with student clubs and events on campus. Access to Campus Groups is granted approximately 24-48 hours after your credit class registration is complete.

Below you will find answers to the most common Campus Groups questions.

Students: Registered for Credit Classes this Semester

If you are registered for courses during the current semester, you should be able to log in with your HCC email address and password. In most cases, Campus Groups accounts are created within 24 - 48 hours after registration for credit classes.

If you are registered for credit classes this semester or in a future semester, but still do not have access to Campus Groups, submit a request for help.

Request Help
Students: Registered for Non-Credit Classes this Semester

Currently, non-credit students are not eligible for Campus Groups accounts, with the exception of select students enrolled in the English Language Institute.

At this time, non-credit students may not be eligible to participate in certain student clubs and discounts (example, National Aquarium tickets). For more information, email studentlife@howardcc.edu.
Students: Newly Admitted to HCC, but not registered for classes

You must be registered for credit classes during the current or upcoming semester in order to log into Campus Groups.

What to Do Next?

To register for credit classes, go to Self Service at https://howardcc.edu/services--support/myhcc/student-portal/. Once you are registered for credit classes, your Campus Groups account will be created. It typically takes 24-48 hours to receive access to Campus Groups after course registration is complete. After your account is created, you will be able to connect to student clubs.

Returning Students: Not registered for credit courses for at least 2 semesters.

Access to Campus Groups

You must be registered for credit classes during the current semester in order to log into Campus Groups. Typically, accounts are deactivated if a student is not registered for 2 semesters (current semester + the previous semester).

Once you are re-register for credit classes, your account will be reactivated. It typically takes 24-48 hours to receive access to Campus Groups after registration. After your account is reactivated, you will be able to connect to student clubs.

Students: Recently Submitted a Name Change to RRVA

Students who complete a name change request through Records and Registration, & Veteran’s Affairs may receive a new HCC username and password. There is sometimes a delay in updating the Campus Groups account to the new username.

If your HCC username was updated, but you still cannot log into Campus Groups, submit a request for help.
