Au Pair Resources
The English Language Center (ELC) offers a variety of noncredit ESL classes for Au Pairs to fulfill their education requirements.

Education Requirement
Au pairs are often required to take 6 credits (or the equivalent of approximately 80 contact hours in the classroom) over the course of their year. Please check with your au pair agency for this requirement as it may differ depending on the agency.

Important Information about Registration
- Students must be 16 or older to register.
- All students pay the listed prices. Fees are not eligible for waiver.
- Out-of-county fee is $10 and out-of-state fee is $20.
- Only ages 60+ are eligible for tuition waiver.
- All refund or transfer requests MUST BE made in person or emailed to ELC@HowardCC.edu. See our refund policy HERE.

Class Hours
We offer classes in three different formats:
• Flexible Online - Class is entirely on Canvas. Do course work whenever you have time. No Zoom meetings.
• In-Person - Class meets 100% in person on campus.
