Jenny Male is Associate Professor of Theatre at Howard Community College and serves as Coordinator of the Theatre program. She teaches voice, dialects, movement, stage combat, musical theatre, and Shakespeare performance. Jenny is a certified teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors and serves as Resident Movement & Fight Director for Rep Stage. She is a member of VASTA and ATME as well as the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and Intimacy Directors International. Jenny's HCC Theatre directing credits include As You Like It, Twelfth Night, She Kills Monsters, Spring Awakening, and Argonautika. Directing credits for Arts Collective at HCC include A Christmas Carol, A Chorus Line, Noises Off, and Urinetown. Jenny has also directed many musicals for the Red Branch Theatre Company including The Secret Garden, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, [title of show], Evil Dead, Spring Awakening, A Year With Frog and Toad, and Into the Woods. Jenny also directs and choreographs at other theatres and universities such as Adventure Theatre, Everyman Theatre, Children's Theatre of Charlotte, Ozark Actors Theatre, Flying V, Stevenson University, Towson University, and the University of Maryland Opera program.
