Associate Professor, Photography
Donna T. Jones is the coordinator of photography and teaches beginning and intermediate level photography courses. Donna developed the digital photography curriculum and the photography lighting studio. She has been working on the renovation of the photography classroom for several years. The new flexible use classroom provides diverse instructional capabilities in digital, film, alternative photo media, and studio lighting. The final phase of the project (Summer 2019) includes the expansion of the classroom and studio lighting space and a new maze for the black-and-white darkroom.
With a background in commercial and fine art photography, Donna brings a wealth of experience to her teaching practices. She is the editor/co-producer of the book, Ethiopia from the Heart, a book of monographs by local photographer, Andargé Asfaw. Donna’s personal work explores habitats, humans, and things. Her found and created compositions incorporate digital and alternative photographic processes and mixed media applications onto different substrates
