
Joshua Mlodzianowski

Saxophone
Joshua Mlodzianowski has spent the last 15 years performing throughout the East Coast. By the age of 18 he had booked over 200 shows as a gigging musician, and by age 25 had helped produce and finance four albums. He has opened for groups such as Blues Traveler, Village People, Gin Blossoms, and Blood, Sweat & Tears. Josh takes an interest in writing scholarship that investigates the history of saxophone literature and Rap and Hip-Hop’s relationship with western traditions. He advocates for popularized genres having a place in the university and believes a performer should have the skills necessary to execute a broad range of music. He is also an active blogger and has a strong presence on social media offering free teaching advice, product reviews, and musical interviews. Josh is currently an adjunct saxophone instructor at Washington College and a doctoral student at the University of Maryland College Park where he is the teaching assistant to Dr. Tim Powell. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at the State University of New York Potsdam's Crane School of Music and his Master of Music degree at Youngstown State University.
