Winds, Brass, and Percussion Faculty
Personalized Instruction for All Levels and Styles
The Music Institute at HCC offers private instruction for students of all ages and skill levels, with expert faculty specializing in classical, jazz, pop, and rock styles. Lessons focus on developing strong technical skills, musical expression, and performance confidence.
Woodwind instruction is available for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, and recorder. Our faculty provide personalized guidance for each student and support those preparing for ensemble auditions, competitions, and college applications.
Students may study trumpet, trombone, or French horn with our accomplished brass faculty, who are active performers and educators. Instruction is tailored to each student’s musical goals, from classical repertoire to contemporary styles.
Percussion lessons include drum set as well as a full range of orchestral percussion instruments. Faculty work with students on rhythm, technique, and ensemble readiness, offering pre-performance coaching and audition preparation for motivated students.
