Event Details | Dragon Mondays: Navigating Identity-Based Leadership in the Trans & Queer Community
Dragon Mondays are leadership workshops designed to develop your leadership skills. In honor of LGBTQ+ History Month, come learn about identity based leadership in the Trans and Queer Community at our next event on Monday, October 27 from 12-1 pm in Dragon Commons (CL 162). Our guest speakers will be Lee Blinder from Trans Maryland and Adrian Hinderlie, a local community worker and school-based therapist. Visit Dragon Mondays to RSVP.
Leadership in trans and queer spaces is often born from lived experience; shaped by resilience, authenticity, and the pursuit of collective liberation. This interactive workshop explores what it means to lead from a place of identity, community care, and intersectional awareness. Together, we’ll unpack the opportunities and challenges of identity-based leadership: navigating visibility, combating tokenization, balancing advocacy and self-care.
Participants will reflect on their own leadership journeys— from grassroots organizing to institutional change-making. This is a space for reflection, learning, and connection, centering trans and queer wisdom as a source of transformative leadership.
A light lunch will be served.
