The HCC Theatre Program invites you to audition for the upcoming theatre productions! All are welcome! (Students, Faculty, Staff, high school students, community members… All!)
"Detroit '67"
When: Thursday, January 29 from 5-6p.m. and Friday, January 30 from 5-6p.m.
Where: HVPA 145
One-Act Festival
The One-Act Festival is an evening of several one-act plays (Iron by Maya Graham, 21 Chump Street by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sorrowful Revenge by Adrian Kemah, Between by John Guare, Playwrights Vs. Zombies by Christopher Plumridge). One of the plays is a musical which will be accompanied by prerecorded music. The performances will be March 12-15, 2026.
When: Thursday, January 29 from 5-7 p.m. and Friday, January 30 from 4-6p.m.
Where: The RCF Studio Theatre
How to audition?
- Come anytime within the audition hours. Auditions will be conducted one at a time on a first come-first serve basis. No appointment necessary.
- For the audition you will read a selection from the play. You will be able to peruse the readings while waiting for your audition.
- If you would like to be considered for the one-act musical, please be prepared to sing an excerpt acapella of a song from a contemporary musical.
Rehearsals begin on or around February 2, 2026.

"Into the Woods"
When: Thursday, January 29 from 5-8p.m. and Friday, January 30 from 4-6p.m.
Where: Monteabaro Recital Hall
How to audition?
- Be prepared to sing 16-32 bars of a song (verse and chorus). The music director will be available to play from sheet music; auditionees may sing along to karaoke from their phones if they prefer.
- Each person will then read a provided short scene of their choice. The scene packets will be available in the Theatre office (HVPA 210) by January 20.
Those called back will be notified by email.
Students who are cast may sign up for college credit.
