Visual and Performing Arts Center
The Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center opened in the fall of 2006 and quickly became a beacon of creativity and a cornerstone of Howard County's cultural life. As an educational and production venue, the center offers community members the opportunity to engage with the arts as patrons and as students. Equipped with state-of-the-art instructional facilities for the college’s Liberal Studies Division, the center serves both credit and noncredit students. Within its walls, the arts are explored, practiced, and celebrated, empowering students to become creative leaders in their fields.
Home to three indoor performance venues and two art galleries, more than 35,000 patrons attend performances and exhibits annually. Through a combination of resident and partnership programming, the Horowitz Center serves as a gathering place where students and community members are invited to gather, celebrate, and be inspired.
Featuring the work of students and professional artists, the 2026-2027 season celebrates the full spectrum of the arts, from cherished classics to contemporary voices across visual arts, film, literature, music, dance, and theatre. With programming designed to engage audiences of all ages and interests, the Horowitz Center continues to enrich Howard County's vibrant arts and culture landscape as a destination to gather and grow.
