CAST BIOS
ELENA BRYSON (Mother Goose) is a recent graduate of HCC with an Associate of the Arts in Theatre. She is delighted to be working with Imagination Stage again following her performance as Sister Bear in last year's production, Wake Up Brother Bear! You may have seen her in other productions at HCC including Twelfth Night, Stupid F***ing Bird, Life is a Cabaret, Eurydice, A Midsummer Night's Dream, the 2024 One Act Festival, and Medea. She would like to thank her director, Randy, for giving her another opportunity to work with Imagination Stage, as well as the cast and crew who brought this production to life in such a fun and collaborative way! Finally, she would like to thank you, the audience, for spending your morning making some magic with us! Now let's go sweep the sky! Up, up, and away!
FLORENSE’OLIVEA DAVID (The Puppeteer) is a freshman at Howard Community College and is currently studying Theatre Performance and Communications. Some important productions to her that she has been a part of are: Clue as Mrs. Peacock, Alice in Wonderland as the Cheshire Cat, her first Musical The Drowsy Chaperone as Mrs. Tottendale, and even her first production at HCC, Anomalous. Florense would like to thank her mom and dad for their unwavering support in everything she does, her friends for always being there for her, her castmates for always being a second family for her, and her amazing directors for guiding her through what she knows best–Theatre!
DIANA NOVELO (Mother Goose) is a Theatre major at Howard Community College with over six years of experience in the performing arts. She began her theatrical journey as a student at Suitland High School’s Center for Visual & Performing Arts, where her passion for the craft first took root. Diana has portrayed a wide range of characters, including Dr. Norton in Anomalous; Leigh Fondakowski, Zackie Salmon, and Zubaida Ula in The Laramie Project; Normal Jean in The Colored Museum; Sabina in The Skin of Our Teeth; Patient Alpha in We Could Be Heroes; Medea in Medea, and most recently, Nina in Stupid F#@king Bird. Diana is deeply grateful to her family and loved ones for their unwavering support throughout her artistic journey.”
BEN STRIGLE (The Puppeteer) is a DMV-based actor and dialect coach, and is thrilled to be returning to HCC and to make his debut with Imagination Stage! Ben works as a substitute teacher, and graduated from Towson University in 2024. Local credits include Hair (Vagabond Players), Newsies (Other Voices Theatre), and previous Howard Community College credits include Eurydice, The Importance of Being Earnest, Stupid Bird, and Twelfth Night. He hopes this show brings joy and light into your day and he wants to remind you that you are capable of amazing things, just like Mother Goose :) Enjoy the show!
CREATIVE TEAM BIOS
RANDY SNIGHT (Director) is a director and dancer who has starred in various roles such as Ariel, Puck, Le Beau, Conrade, Friar Francis, Francis Flute, The Changeling Boy, and The Esoteric Concept of Beauty. Snight has also choreographed and assisted directed productions of Romeo and Juliet and The Tempest for the company. He is the Casting Director and Assistant Producer at Imagination Stage and spends his weekends performing at the Maryland Renaissance Festival, where he is also the resident choreographer. Snight is a graduate of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, and dedicates his work to bringing joy to the audience through his performances.
STEPHANIE SMITH (Stage Manager) for the current production, is known for her upbeat energy, sharp organization, and ability to keep a show running smoothly no matter what happens backstage. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Hampton University and has shared her skills with theatres across the DMV, including Folger Shakespeare Theatre, Adventure Theatre, and the Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center. Outside of calling cues, Stephanie works as a General Manager at an Escape Room, sharpening teamwork and problem-solving skills. Her bubbly personality, dedication, and love for storytelling shine—especially when she’s relaxing with a good movie.
ERIC MOORE (Lighting Designer) is the production electrician on staff in the Horowitz Visual & Performing Arts Center at Howard Community College.
KATE TWILLEY (Costume Supervisor) is excited to work on the Horowitz Arts Center’s partnership production with Imagination Stage. Her recent HCC credits include: A Little Fight Music, HCC Dance Showcase 2025, Anomalous,Twelfth Night, HCC Dance Company 2025, The Importance of Being Earnest, Ride the Cyclone, HCC Dance Showcase 2024, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, Medea, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Kate holds a B.A. in Theatre from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a focus in Costume Design.
DEBORAH JACOBSON (Music Director)’s credits include: Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed, Mother Goose (Composer/Arranger), The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Anatole: Mouse Magnifique, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, The Princess & The Pauper, Charlotte’s Web, Wonderland: Alice’s Rock & Roll Adventure at Imagination Stage. Other credits include: Little Shop of Horrors at the University of Maryland; Peter and the Starcatcher at Constellation Theatre; The Who’s Tommy (AMD) at Open Circle Theatre; Breast in Show for Eileen Mitchard/Voices BC.
ENRIQUE VARGAS (Puppet Coach) is a theatre maker based in Washington DC. Directing credits: Tómas and the Library Lady (Upcoming; Assistant Director), November 4 (Assistant Director; Voices Festival Productions), The Volcano of Stolen Moments (Imagination Stage). Acting : The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, Mother Goose, Cinderella: A Salsa Fairytale (Imagination Stage); The Lion, The Witch..(Flint Youth Theatre); Elotes y Esquites (Flint Repertory Theatre). Enrique has taught for the Flint Youth Theatre, Flint Repertory Theatre, Seattle Children’s Theatre, and the Chicago Children’s Theatre. Education: BFA in Performance from The University of Michigan- Flint.
KATHRYN CHASE BRYER (Artistic Consultant) is a director, dramaturg, teacher, and administrator with a storied career at Imagination Stage, one of the country's largest and most innovative children's theater companies. Theater for Young Audiences has been central to Kate's career, which includes work at Missoula Children's Theatre, Round House's "Street 70" program, and Wolf Trap. At Imagination Stage, she has developed, devised, and directed dozens of plays and worked with generations of talented theater makers. She is also an accomplished director at several DC theaters, including Constellation, Spooky Action, and Next Stop, as well as several area universities.
A. LORRAINE ROBINSON (Production Manager) is an award-winning theatre director, producer, and community arts educator. She’s previously worked at Arena Stage, Dallas Theater Center, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, and ran her own theatre company, MuseFire Productions. Lorraine has a bachelor’s degree in Theatre & Psychology from St. Mary’s College of MD, where she’s been an adjunct instructor and guest director, and has a master’s degree in Theatre from Brown University. She is thrilled to be in residence at the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center and supporting her first partnership show with Imagination Stage for very young audiences!
