HCC will introduce a new apprenticeship program this fall, appealing to those who aspire to work in the healthcare industry, and specifically in the operating room. Surgical Technician Apprenticeship Program students will pursue a comprehensive academic curriculum at HCC and in tandem, will work full time at local hospitals, supporting surgical services teams. The program will begin in November 2022 with two established hospital partners/employers. Apprentices will complete the requirements of the program over three terms.

Over time, HCC will expand apprenticeship partnership opportunities with additional healthcare organizations.
