Student Clubs and Organizations

Get Involved

Student clubs are an important part of campus life.  Students may join or start clubs, which keeps life at HCC current and vibrant.  Below is a sample of the student clubs at HCC.  Don't see a club that you're interested in? Start your own! To learn more about how to join or start a club, contact the Student Government Association at or 443-518-4573.

Academic Clubs

  • Computer Science Club: Open to all students who are interested in coding and the math behind it. To grow and strengthen HCC's community by connecting members with networking opportunities, workshops, hackathons, and tutoring services. All students are welcome to join.
  • Pre-Med and Allied Health Club: Our mission is to help network students interested in pre-med and pre-allied health with different resources that can help them gain experience in the medical field.
  • Student American Dental Hygienist Association: To provide dental hygiene program students with social and educational support during their vigorous dental hygiene program studies.

Identity Affirming and Social Justice Clubs

  • Afro-Caribbean Society: The mission of ACS is to address the social, economic, and academic concerns of African and Caribbean students and other interested students or persons.
  • HCC Jewish Group: The HCC Jewish Group is a group that celebrates, educates, enjoys and shares activities, traditions, holidays and topics of interest to Jews and others interested in Jews and Judaism.  All students, no matter what their religious beliefs, can be part of the HCC Jewish Group (HCC JG).  
  • Muslim Student Association: MSA's mission is to unite and form a companionship with Muslims on campus, with events and through other platforms.
  • Sexuality and Gender Alliance: To educate, advocate, and support. Educate the campus community, advocate for equity, support our LGBTQ+ students

Religious/Spiritual Clubs

  • Christ Army: To make sure that the word will be spread to more students this semester. To fulfill and spread the love of God in our lives.
  • CRU (Crusade for Christ): A community where the Gospel captures hearts, transforms lives and launches men and women into a lifelong adventure with Jesus Christ.
  • First Love: To raise up seasoned Christian leaders for our generation to impact their world while abiding by the laws of the university.

Service and Social Action

  • Dragon Aid: Perform marketing and consulting functions for local organizations on a volunteer basis while providing all members with valuable real-world experience in the field.
  • Student Veteran Club: The main goal of the Student Veterans Organization is to create a thriving social community of student veterans on the Howard Community College campus and to continue service to the community through volunteer work.
  • The Environmental Club: Create awareness of environmental protection, conservation, preservation, and restoration. Also, empower students to take action to combat climate change.

Special Interest Clubs

  • Anime Club: To bring fans of anime together and provide a place for students to find new shows they've never heard of.
  • Aerospace Engineering and Rocket Club: To provide industry experts a venue to connect with the students and to provide opportunity for the students to get hands-on rocket building experience.
  • Cosplay Club: To assist and teach students with cosplay projects and basics of cosplay.
  • Fashion Club: The fashion club mission is to come together and learn, enjoy, and to collaborate on all things in fashion as well as to embrace the love of the arts and express creativity with trendy and street wear styles.
  • Formula Dragon Racing: Our mission is to engineer, design, manufacture, and build a racing car to compete at the International Formula SAE in Michigan.
  • Howard Filmmaking Association: The Howard Filmmaking Association’s for this semester is to provide an open-minded, creative atmosphere for all students interested in expressing themselves through film.
  • Musicians of Tomorrow: Creating a safe space for musicians to create, share ideas, and build connections
  • Pineapple Passion Society: Our mission is to unite all three fields (hospitality, pastry, and culinary) and other students. By helping each other grow and become better. This will help open future opportunities to improve all skills and stay organized.
  • Robotics Club: To learn and apply engineering into robotics. Also, engage club members in robotics design and implementation.
  • Ski Club: HCC's Ski Club mission is to provide the opportunity for any student who wants to participate and excel in skiing and snowboarding, promote community building events, support competition, and preserve the history and heritage of the mountain.
  • Tabletop Gaming: Bring students together to socialize while playing non-electronic games, such as board games and paper and pencil role playing games.
  • Ultimate Frisbee: Engage in Ultimate frisbee games every week and promote the sport.
