Food Resources (Fueling Dragons)
If you are facing hunger or food insecurity, you are not alone. The Fueling Dragons program at Howard Community College provides resources to overcome food insecurity and develop lifelong healthy habits and skills. There are also several resources and in our community to help.
Campus Food Pantry
The on-campus food pantry provides food and personal care items to current HCC students. Stop by during our open hours or contact the Wellness Center at 443-518-4950 to learn more. HCC is a Distribution Partner of the Maryland Food Bank.

Fall Term Hours:
- Mondays from 3-6 pm
- Tuesdays from 3-6 pm
- Wednesday's from 12-3 pm
- Thursdays from 12-3 pm
- Fridays from 1-3 pm

Support the Food Pantry
The HCC food pantry partners with the Maryland Food Bank to stock food and personal care items. We also rely on the generous support of students and employees to keep the shelves full. Donations can be dropped at the pantry, Hickory Ridge welcome desk, RCF welcome desk, or Health Sciences Building Lobby.
You can also host a food drive, volunteer at the pantry, or participate in a service learning opportunity to benefit the pantry. Contact email@example.com to learn more.

Did you recently pick up a meal kit at the food pantry, or are you looking to learn basic kitchen skills, recipes, and incorporate more healthy fresh produce into your meals?
These short instructional videos are a companion to the recipe cards and meal kits available at the food pantry. All recipes can be prepared using simple, easy to find, fresh ingredients. Skills videos will help improve your confidence and comfort in the kitchen with food prep and safety.

Build your skills with hands-on learning in the kitchen, preparing meals using foods available in the food pantry meal kits. Learn to cut and sauté vegetables as well as safety measures for handling meats. The cooking classes will highlight simple healthy recipes that are nutritious foods and well balanced.
