The Hospitality Study Abroad Program in Ireland
In Summer 2020, HCC is launching a study abroad program in Ireland for students enrolled in on of two courses: Introduction to Humanities and Travel & Tourism. The program is designed in cooperation with the Athlone Institution of Technology (AIT), located in Athlone, Ireland.
In Introduction to Humanities, students will explore Irish culture through the arts, architecture, history, and the landscape, and visit important sites in Dublin, Galway, and beyond.
Travel and Tourism Industry, taught by Hospitality Professor Jodi Roze, brings course goals to life as students experience tourism as both a researcher and a tourist. All excursions in the program tie into an integrative, culminating project examining what drives demand for tourism, service quality, the economics, and how tourists impact the local environment.
