Environmental Science - A.A. Degree (Transfer)

Environmental science is an intriguing meld of physics, chemistry, geology, and biology that helps tackle many of the world's biggest challenges. Applications are numerous, including initiatives such as combating pollution, advising policy makers, and working with industry to reduce waste.
The growing emphasis on environmental issues has created a demand for green collar professionals: skilled specialists in the area of environmental science and natural resources management.
This curriculum is a guide for students planning to transfer to a four-year institution to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or Natural Resources Management. Students are advised to check the requirements of the institution to which they intend to transfer.
As a graduate, you should be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the biological, chemical, physical, and political components of environmental science.
- Demonstrate an ability to identify and address environmental issues with scientific and/or technological solutions.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills when describing the natural world and technological applications.
- Identify, understand, evaluate, and apply ethical reasoning to problems, dilemmas, and issues.
