Cardiovascular Technology–Invasive Technologist - A.A.S. Degree (Career)

Cardiovascular technologists play an important role in helping physicians assess and diagnose medical conditions involving the heart. They assist with procedures like cardiac catheterization and angiography that provide images of the coronary arteries, cardiac chambers, and blood circulation.

With advances in technology, an aging population, and an increased number of patients with cardiovascular disease, the career outlook looks bright for cardiovascular invasive technologists.

This area of study prepares students to enter the allied health career field of cardiovascular technology to gather data and perform various cardiac and/or vascular diagnostic tests and procedures under the direction of a physician.
