Business Administration - A.A. Degree (Transfer)

A business administration student at HCC
A degree in business administration provides a strong foundation for a career in almost any organizational setting

The effects of technology and the global economy are making today’s business environment both more exciting and more challenging. In HCC's business administration degree program, you have the opportunity to explore various business disciplines and skills, learn technology common in the business environment, and focus on such areas as accounting, international business, economics, business ethics, and entrepreneurship.

The changing business environment is growing more global, complex, and technological. The business administration curriculum prepares students to transfer to a limited/competitive enrollment four-year business program. A broad-based liberal education is the foundation of the general education core.

The courses related to the major offer students the opportunity to explore various business disciplines and skills, learn technology common in the business environment, and focus on such areas as accounting, international business, economics, business ethics, and entrepreneurship.

Students who wish to study international business should seek advising about including two semesters of a World Language to ensure successful transfer. Successful completion of this business curriculum will prepare students to engage in the higher levels of study in many areas of business in a four-year baccalaureate program.

As a graduate, you should be able to:

  1. Analyze various business situations from global perspectives.
  2. Demonstrate the use of appropriate analytical tools and technology to support business practice.
  3. Identify, understand, evaluate, and apply ethical reasoning to business decisions.
  4. Apply economic principles to business decisions.
