Languages & Culture

a student learning a language

We are offering courses in four formats: face-to-face (100% in person on campus), hybrid (some on-campus instruction), scheduled remote (Zoom), and flexible online (self-paced). Find more information and resources at

Experience the world by studying another language

Do you want to learn a new language or improve your existing skills? Whether studying a world language is a personal goal or a professional necessity, we can help!

When taking noncredit language courses, you may choose between Basic or Intensive Language Courses. Click below to learn more about each type:

  • Basic Language Courses

Our Basic Language Courses are for personal enrichment and cultural exposure. These courses include minimal homework and assessments, no grades, and meet once a week for ten weeks. Click on the links below to view course schedules:

  • Intensive Language Courses

Intensive Language Courses help you improve your ability to communicate in a new language by applying the four language skills – listening, speaking, writing, and reading. Over a 15-week semester, you will exchange, interpret, and present information in different tenses and contexts.

These courses are co-enrolled with credit language students and include regular homework and assessments, pass/fail grades, and a lab component. All Intensive Language Classes require the use of the online course delivery system Canvas for access to supplemental materials, course content, assignments, and tests and quizzes. For online courses, the lab component will be delivered via online conferencing. Click on the links below to view course schedules:
