Advanced Pediatric Skills for the Nursing Assistant is designed for nursing assistants who have a current CNA license and PCT Certificate of Completion, and are ready to learn more advanced skills as it relates to the pediatric patient. This hybrid course provides the opportunity to increase knowledge and training in performing skills routinely carried out in the pediatric hospital. A family-centered approach to care of babies and children is emphasized. The course provides the opportunity to increase knowledge and training in performing skills routinely carried out by techs in a hospital setting.

This HYBRID course prepares certified nursing assistants to work in hospitals and other health care settings as part of a multidisciplinary team caring for patients who require acute care as well as chronic care. You will expand and deepen your skills in complex health care procedures including phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, glucose monitoring, intravenous therapy, wound care, and urinary catheterization. Textbook and workbook are included. No refund seven days prior to start date. 9.2 CEUs.
