National Safety Council (NSC) Emergency Preparedness

The noncredit classes listed below have been moved to remote teaching, postponed, or cancelled based on the nature of the class. Analyze and Identify Emergency Situations

This course is designed for new and experienced supervisors and key employees in organizations to identify organizational roles in emergencies. The course consists of eight modules (Evacuation Emergencies, Weather & Natural Disasters, Shelter in Place, Medical Emergency, Workplace Violence, Active Shooter, Terrorism, Communication Before/After Emergency). You will be provided with pertinent data and statistics for each type of emergency. You will be presented with scenarios to analyze for emergency preparedness. Participants apply what they have learned in class to real-world situations and build on their knowledge with each situation. Individual and small group activities allow you to apply cognitive information to assess situations and solve problems. Upon successful completion, you will earn a National Safety Council Emergency Preparedness Course Completion Certificate.
