Build Soft Skills Through Interactive Sessions with Real-World Scenarios
Essential Job Skills is a new course that uses hands-on activities and real-world applications to teach you the essential soft skills to pave the way to success and improve your chances to get and keep a job.
This is the first class in a series that can lead to an office skills certificate from Howard Community College's Division of Continuing Education & Workforce Development.
Receive instruction in general employability skills including:
- Effective communication
- Time management
- Problem Solving
- Goal Setting
- Stress management
- Job Seeking Strategies
The course is designed to guide you through learning these skills that can be transferable among a variety of jobs and careers and are considered essential in any employment situation.
- Be at least 17 years old
- Have a third grade reading level or above
- Commit to following the HCC Code of Conduct
Enroll in Courses for the Current Term
The course will meet for 10 weeks starting in September on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
