Journal for Research in Progress

Journal of Research in Progress (JRIP) at Howard Community College Research Summary Submissions

In consultation with your faculty/staff mentor, please complete this form if you or your research team is interested in publishing your work in the next volume of JRIP (one form per proposed JRIP paper). The purpose of this form is to help the JRIP Editorial Team committee assess the depth and current status of your research project. This form is due by 11:59 PM on November 1, 2022. Students whose project summaries are approved will be invited to submit a complete research paper due in mid-February of next year.

Background
The Journal of Research in Progress (JRIP) at Howard Community College seeks summaries of research projects from students interested in being published in the next volume of the journal. JRIP is designed to showcase original student research conducted by Howard Community College students and is open to students in any discipline. Original student research is work that provides new insights, techniques, or conclusions related to a research question. The journal (published electronically and in print) is shared with the HCC community and the community at large. You can view previous volumes of JRIP at https://pressbooks.howardcc.edu/jrip/

Submission Criteria
Submissions should be from current HCC students or students who graduated/transferred from HCC within one year of the volume's publication. - A tentative title for the research project
- A clearly articulated research question
