
Pre-Apprenticeship Electrical
In partnership with Independent Electrical Contractors Chesapeake (IECC),The Pre-Apprenticeship Electrical program is designed to prepare students to enter and succeed in a Registered Electrical Apprenticeship program. Students will participate in classroom and online instruction with hands-on lab training at IECC. Students will also obtain OSHA 10,CPR/First Aid, certifications, while preparing for entry into a registered apprenticeship. Job placement assistance is available upon successful completion of the program.

$2996 (Includes the enrollment in both Pre-Apprenticeship Electrical I and Pre-Apprenticeship Electrical II)

- Valid drivers license
- Have basic computer skills, computer or laptop, internet access

Courses
This continuing education course is one in a series designed for individuals pursuing entry into a year one electrical apprenticeship program and provides instruction on preparation in the electrical trades. Topics include careers in the electrical trade, professional behavior and study skills, safety, mathematics and the metric system, basic concepts of electricity and magnetism, electrical theory, national electrical code, and grounding. Students must buy textbooks ahead of the course start date. Class meets at Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) Chesapeake, 8751 Freestate Drive, Laurel, MD 20723. No refunds 1 week before the start date. Must sign up for both XM-120 and XM-121 together. 9.0CEU’s. 90 hrs.
